About the Team
The Digital Governance and Compliance Team sits within the Strategy and Architecture Section of the Digital Group. That section provides strategic direction, guidance, and governance for the effective management and optimisation of the Commission's Digital & ICT infrastructure, ensuring that technology investments support the Commission's goals and priorities.
The purpose of the Digital Governance and Compliance Team is to establish and enforce governance frameworks, policies, and compliance standards for the delivery of digital initiatives within the Commission, to safeguard project integrity, regulatory compliance, deliver visibility into project risks, and support enterprise-wide reporting.
About the Role
The APS6 Portfolio Coordinator (Centre of Excellence) leads the coordination, governance, and maintenance of artefacts, templates, and intranet content for the Digital Portfolio Management Office. The role ensures all frameworks and artefacts are compliant with ISO9001 standards, accessible to staff, and aligned to the Commission's digital governance requirements.
Working with stakeholders across the Digital Group, the position promotes consistency, continuous improvement, and capability uplift by maintaining training resources, providing guidance on version control, and embedding governance practices.
Position Duties
- Establish and maintain SharePoint intranet sites for the DPMO and Centre of Excellence, ensuring usability and compliance with government standards.
- Manage artefact lifecycle (creation, update, archival) under ISO9001-compliant version control processes.
- Develop and maintain project and portfolio templates (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio) to support governance and delivery.
- Coordinate the review and update cycle of frameworks, policies, and artefacts to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Support the design and delivery of training material, providing guidance to staff on intranet use, document management, and compliance requirements.
- Prepare accurate and timely records to support internal and external audits.
- Engage stakeholders across the Digital Group to drive adoption of frameworks, tools, and processes.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in governance, artefact management, and knowledge sharing.
- Provide portfolio coordination and governance support for committees, working groups, and reporting activities.
Leadership
- Support coaching and guidance to colleagues on governance practices, documentation standards, and project methodologies
- Share expertise to assist capability uplift across the Digital Group, supporting a culture of quality and compliance.

Technical/Role-Specific Skills
- Proven experience in SharePoint intranet maintenance and governance.
- Knowledge of project management principles and ISO9001 standards.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and time management skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to resolve issues and adapt frameworks to meet evolving business needs.
Position Notes:
- Salary offered will be between
$96,503 - $108,869
per annum depending on skills and experience. In addition, 15.4% superannuation will be paid. - Only candidates who hold Australian citizenship can apply. Appointment is conditional on successfully completing a national police check. For more information, please visit
