**The Role**
If you are looking for a Spare Parts Interpreter position that is a level above the ordinary automotive industry this is the job for you.

We are seeking a highly motivated Spare Parts Interpreter, or an experienced vehicle mechanic wishing to get off the tools, to join our dynamic team in the Royal Australian Air Force’s Mechanical Equipment and Operations Maintenance Section (MEOMS).

You will have access to flexible working conditions as well as receiving comprehensive and ongoing training to help enhance your technical skills in providing the organisation in the identification and delivery of spare parts and equipment to a highly skilled workforce for a wide variety of Defence equipment. Your role will be to identify and obtain a range of not previously identified spare parts for Defence equipment which could cover items such as Airfield Sweepers, Air-conditioners and Electrical Power Trailers, Mobile Lighting Equipment, and Airfield support equipment.

This position also supports Defence’s new fleet of Mobility Vehicles such as Mercedes 4x4 and 6x6 vehicles, MAN Medium and Heavy Transport Vehicles Fire Fighting Vehicles and equipment. As a member of the MEOMS Team you will have access to various project support networks specifically there to manage parts for Defence’s unique equipment types.

In this position you will need to have the ability to do research and have a strong background in customer service. You will need to be able to problem solve and adapt to changes in work priorities. Applicants must be able to demonstrate effective communication skills across face to face, phone and written correspondence. Self-drive travel between different sites and locations will be required therefore applicants must hold a current Drivers Licence.

**About our Team**
22 Squadron provides permanent Airbase Operational Supports at RAAF Base Richmond. As part of the Mechanical Equipment and Operations Maintenance Section (MEOMS) you will be working as part of an integrated team of APS, ADF and Industry partners.
