12-month contract opportunity within a Federal Government department for an Actuarial Analyst.

You'll be working for a well-established Federal Government department.

**Your new role**

This role applies well-established policy, principles, practices, and procedures to achieve outcomes that support and contributes to the organisations objectives. The position will provide operational and administrative support that is informed and directed by sound knowledge in areas and may undertake some research and analysis activities.

**What you'll need to succeed**

You'll have experience working with large data sets. You'll have experience working with SAS(preferred)//SQL/R/ other programming languages and/or analytics platforms desirable. Other experience and skills you';; need to be successful in this role are:

- Relevant quantitative degree in actuarial studies, statistics, mathematics or related field.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of statistical techniques and methods.
- Effective communication skills (both written and verbal).
