**PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION**:
Working closely with the owner, from concept stage right through to production. The priority is to ensure the collections are delivered on time, to budget whilst ensuring the highest of quality is sustained.
You will be responsible for managing the coordination of seasonal sample collections and special projects from final design stage through to end production.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES**
- Raising and issuing purchase orders to suppliers
- Liaising with manufactures and maintain relationship with new factories
- Working with suppliers to ensure samples and deliveries are on schedule
- Working with pattern makers to resolve any issues with production
- Ensuring sample packs are sent in an efficient manner to meet deadlines
- Ensuring all administration tasks are completed in our system, ensuring all details are added
- Creating care labels and barcodes for offshore suppliers
- Help ensure the quality of our garments is to a high standard
- Support and help manage costing and negotiation process.
- Identify potential production, quality and costing issues and make appropriate recommendations whilst maintaining design and quality.
- Report weekly on production status and escalate any exceptions
- Document new processes
**KEY COMPETENCIES**:
- Strong understanding of garment construction, size specifications and fitting
- Knowledge to amend and simplify patterns at the sampling stage
- Excellent understanding of garment construction and concept to delivery
- Strong organisational skills with great attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise and multitask
- Experience in communication with manufacturers overseas
- Experience with Excel
**EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED**:
- Degree or diploma qualifications in têxtile manufacturing
- A minimum of 3- 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Experience in sourcing apparel, manufacturing, and factory experience
- Strong apparel technical skills and knowledge of fabrics and garment construction
- Interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills
- Proven experience in a face paced environment.
- A dedicated focused team player who takes pride in achieving a high standard.
- Thorough attention to detail.
- Proven time management skills and ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
- Strong organisational and administration skills, ability to multi-task.
- Excellent communication skills, you build great relationships.
- Excellent computer skills, particularly Excel.
**Salary**: $100,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Sydney, NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
