As an Animal Care Attendant, you will be working with a large team of dedicated nurses and vets in a fast-paced environment, focussing on patient care and customer satisfaction.

**You’ll need**
- 1 year minimum experience in an animal husbandry role such as a veterinary clinic, doggy day care or boarding facility
- Flexibility to work a variety of weekday day, evening and weekend shifts, including some public holidays
- Planned commencement or currently studying formal qualifications in Veterinary Nursing or Animal Husbandry will be highly regarded
- A level of physical fitness to undertake the duties of the role, including regular cleaning, handling and lifting animals

**About the role**
Based in our North Melbourne Animal Hospital you will be working with a team of veterinarians and nurses to ensure high standards of patient care and cleanliness are maintained. Your days will be varied but some of your regular duties will include:

- Animal husbandry including hygiene and cleaning, feeding, grooming and enrichment
- Daily walks for patients in our care
- Assisting with animal handling during veterinary examinations and procedures
- Restocking bedding, towels and medical supplies, preparing wards for incoming animals
- Liaising with customers about the care of their pets
- Patient record keeping, reporting and daily checks
