Cattery Attendant (Casual)

Fitzroy Veterinary Hospital are currently searching for the next enthusiastic, passionate, and dedicated Cattery member to join our Team.

Our newly renovated Cattery offers the best in boarding care and are looking for a team member to work independently within the role to deliver the best care for our boarding clients. We are compassionate and enthusiastic and always strive to give our feline friends the most comfortable stay possible. We are looking for someone with those same passions for customer service and cat care to excel within this role.

Duties and responsibilities:

- Health checks and general animal husbandry
- Providing of food and water for cats in our care
- Establishing relationships with pet owners to individualise care and meet the specific needs of that animal
- Complying with our Council standards of care
- Administering medication to cats in our care
- Daily admin duties such as updating animal records, social media and invoicing.
- Providing adequate enrichment and play for cats during their stay

Key Requirements:

- Must have a strong work ethic as the role does require a lot of attention to detail
- Must work well within a team environment
- Must be able to follow cattery protocol and procedures
- Previous experience in an animal husbandry role
- Strong organisational skills to complete all takes required throughout the shift
- Availability between Monday-Friday and occasional weekend work/public holidays

Position:

- Availability to be flexible with shifts when required
- Weekend work and split shifts required
- Salary will be based on relevant qualifications and position and can be discussed during the interview process
