Animal Attendant (Dog Daycare)

Are you passionate about animals and ready to be part of Australia’s leading pet care provider? Kip Happy Stays is inviting expressions of interest (EOI) from enthusiastic, dedicated individuals eager to join our talent pool for Animal Attendant (Daycare) roles across our Melbourne daycare sites.

At Kip Happy Stays, we pride ourselves on delivering the highest standards of care and enrichment to our furry guests. We’re looking for people who are ready to bring energy, commitment, and a love of animals to our team.

We’ll review EOIs on an ongoing basis; shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete a video interview and from there, we/u2019ll be in touch as vacancies arise at our Melbourne locations to discuss next steps.

About the role

As an Animal Attendant, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the wellbeing and enjoyment of dogs in our daycare. No two days are the same Key responsibilities include:

- Supervising dog groups, managing behaviours and ensuring their safety and well-being
- Providing engaging and stimulating play sessions and activities
- Cleaning and maintaining the facility to high standards
- Building relationships with pet owners and providing daily feedback
- Creating photo and video content for dog owners
- Handling administrative tasks like answering enquiries and record keeping

About you

- Flexible availability between 6:30 am and 6:30 pm, Monday to Friday
- Confident to handle larger dog breeds and manage dog behaviours
- A passion for working with dogs and learning more about canine behaviour
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Great communication skills and a strong customer service focus
- Comfortable with computer systems (emails, booking platform) and phone applications (social media, filming and editing basic video content)
- Available to attend a lawful unpaid work trial shift (operated within The Fair Work Ombudsman guidelines)
