**What does the role look like?**

The Talent Acquisition Partner will support the growth and success of the Lihir RPO. To facilitate this success, you will be responsible for:

- End to end recruitment tasks, including job briefs, screening, interviewing, managing probity checks, offer management etc
- Sourcing and recruitment for in-country PNG national positions (entry level roles, volume positions)
- Supporting and Guiding Hiring Managers on attraction, sourcing and selection activities and decisions
- Ensuring the recruitment process actively supports Newmont’s approach to diversity
- Develop an understanding of business-critical roles and impact on delivering strategic priorities

**A little about your team**

You will be joining a team of 15 spread out geographically across Perth, Brisbane, Port Moresby and Lihir Island, PNG. This role will be based in remotely in Brisbane and focusing on in-country PNG National positions for Newmont’s Tier one asset - Lihir Gold Mine, PNG. Roles will be a mix of technician roles, volume recruitment including trades personnel across various business units on site.

This is a full time - Fixed Term role (Monday to Friday, until 1 May 2026). We work remote from home and from Newmont’s Brisbane office when required. This is on an-hoc basis and completely flexible You can share your time how you wish with differing start and finish times as well.

**Are there any ‘must haves’?**
- Demonstrated experience within an internal recruitment role within heavy industry ideally mining, oil & gas, trades roles
- Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems is highly advantageous (PageUp)
- Knowledge of different search engine behaviours (must have LinkedIn Recruiter exp)
- Knowledge/experience in mining or comparable heavy industry will be highly regarded
- Strong initiative and organisation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail
- High level stakeholder management skills
- Advanced expertise for Office365 products
- Mature minded - must be able to work autonomously
