**About the Role**
**Full time - Ongoing**
- The Vehicle Safety Officer is responsible for resolving general technical matters in relation to vehicle standards and compliance to roadworthiness standards and the requirements for registration. The role is also required to assist in the management and administration of authorised partners delivering vehicle safety products and services.

**Position Outcomes**
- Provide technical knowledge and support to customers, partners and stakeholders to support current registration, vehicle safety and certification schemes
- Use technical knowledge and experience by contributing to investigations relating to possible matters of non-compliance to scheme requirements and prepare reports and statements under limited guidance
- Identify emerging automotive industry trends and vehicle technologies to influence the development and implementation of vehicle safety related policy.
- Initiates and maintains relationships with stakeholders to understand and resolve stakeholder issues and identify opportunities for business improvement

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**:
**Mandatory**
- Appropriate technical or trade certificate/qualification and experience relevant to the requirements of the role.

**Desirable**
- Customer service experience in a fast-paced professional environment
- A personable customer-facing manner and strong written and verbal skills
