**About the Role**

**This is a five year fixed term SES 1 role.**

Reporting to the Executive Director - Registration & Licensing Management, the Director Vehicle & Driver Safety Schemes is responsible for operationalising policies and standards and oversees delivery of a range of registration and licencing programs, ensuring drivers and vehicles on Victoria’s Roads are safe and appropriate. This includes programs such as:

- Medical Review
- Demerit points and offence management
- Driver re-licencing services
- Management of third party vehicle providers such as Licenced Vehicle Testers (LVTs), Dealers, vehicle modifications through the Vehicle Assessment Signatory Scheme (VASS).

The role is also accountable for the Customer Relationship Team, who undertake complex case management for customers and stakeholders relating to registration and licensing matters. The position holds key relationships with Directors, Department of Transport and Planning Executives, Ministerial offices and senior leaders across the Victorian Government to support the effective operation of the division and delivery of the Executive Director - Registration & Licensing Management priorities to help shape the division through various strategic initiatives and governance arrangements.
