Our client, one of Australia's leading producers of high quality frozen prepared meals and finger-foods is seeking commercial kitchen hands.

**Location: Emu Plains**

**Shifts: Day & Afternoon**

**Days: Monday to Friday**

**Duties**
- Weigh, measure, mix and prep ingredients according to recipes.
- Collaborate with both Sous Chef and Chefs to prepare meals.
- Steam, grill, boil, bake or fry meats, fish, vegetables, and other ingredients.
- Check food and ingredients for freshness.
- Work well under pressure and within the time limit.
- Ensure that kitchen area, equipment and utensils are cleaned.
- mix and measure ingredients using commercial cooking machinery to produce large volumes of product for customer retail requirements.
- Read, analyse and interpret recipes to ensure ingredients are accurately measured, disbursed and recorded
- Cutting, preparing and/or packing meals
- **Previous experience as a kitchen hand in commercial food **environment**:

- MUST BE ABLE TO CUT AND TOUCH CHICKEN, BEEF and PORK
- Working in a cold room (0 to 3 degrees)
- **G**ood knowledge of safe food handling practices & HACCP
- Maintaining personal hygiene
