This role is part of a team that provides high quality police and legislative advice to the Minister, Commissioner of Police and senior executives and undertakes research, critical analysis and engagement with a wide range of stakeholders.
**The Core Capability Requirements for this Role are**: - Assist in legislative and policy projects in relation to portfolio legislation, consideration of financial implications, develop Cabinet and Cabinet Budget Review Committee submissions, draft instructions for bills/regulations, explanatory notes and other supporting documentation for Cabinet/Parliament. Contribute to the research, analysis and development, including statistical analysis, of high-level documents including Cabinet submissions, options papers, reports, briefings and sensitive correspondence. Prepare correspondence, briefings and submissions for senior management, the Minister, Cabinet and other diverse audiences in accordance with organisational requirements. Develop and maintain positive working relationships within and outside the Service to inform the development of quality policy and assist in the on-going development of improved safety outcomes for the Queensland Community. Manage competing priorities to ensure the delivery of timely and quality client services. **Role Requirements**: Qualification
- Experience in data analysis, policing, criminology, law or similar criminal justice related field will be considered favourably.
