Technician - Civil Design

**Role description**:
Due to consistent growth in our team and the demands of our strong and growing pipeline of work heavily involved in our core business of civil high _way _s engineering, we are now seeking a Technician - Civil Design to join our national team.
**Role accountabilities**:

- To provide technical road design support to the local team and our Highways team;
- Manage, plan, resource and complete the assigned delivery of the Road Design component of projects within agreed budgets and deadlines;
- Assisting the Project Manager in determining the resources required for a project plan including elements suitable for outsourcing;
- Ensuring the production of project documents that are accurate, clear and concise and compliant with best practice and any other quality standards dictated by the nature of the project;
- Ensuring that the road design component of the project is delivered within agreed budgets and delivery dates;
- Maintaining ongoing communication with relevant Project Managers/Team Leaders and clients when required, to ensure effective communications on matters relevant to the project;
- Ensuring the compliance with Arcadis and Australian design standards;
- Working in collaboration with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design

**Qualifications & Experience**:
First and foremost, you share our passion for improving quality of life. Through your innovation and willingness to challenge the status quo, you are leading the way in road design. You will come to us with:

- Significant experience in a project delivery environment with clear participation on the delivery of major projects/motorways in an Australian context;
- Experience delivering projects for VICRoads, QLD TMR, MainRoads WA, TfNSW or other Australian road authorities
- Proficiency in MicroStation and OpenRoads;
- In depth knowledge of civil design standards, including Austroads, RMS supplements and other relevant standards.
