As a Retailer Communications Coordinator will be primarily responsible for maintaining and updating the Metcash Retailer website, creating consistency, and ensuring quality control in a fast-paced dynamic environment. In this role, you will be working with a range of stakeholders across the business to coordinate, develop and deliver communications to help support our independent retailers.

What you'll do

Collaborate with a range of stakeholders (state, national, internal, retailer and supplier) and other departments (e.g. marketing, promotions, merchandise, operations etc.) to support key strategies through communications

Manage multiple inboxes to clear backlog, assist internal team members with their requests, support retailers and area managers with any queries and prioritising action items

Initiate planning, production, and delivery of relevant communications to retailers in a timely manner (day-to-day management as well as weekly, monthly and adhoc requests)

Conduct regular reviews of user databases and content pieces to ensure all materials are accurate and up to date.

Organise and lead communications meetings (set up, invites, presentations, recording minutes & actions, follow ups) and assist with preparing weekly and monthly reports to learn from analytics and further improve communications.

Support implementation and roll out of new communications processes and any new features/improvements to existing and future systems (e.g. How To manuals, FAQs etc)

Develop and manage EDM blasts, making recommendations on improvements to increase benefit to retailers.

What you'll bring

Understanding of retail industry (store experience highly desirable)

Interest in all things Comms

Some CMS experience - highly regarded but not essential.

A team player, who has a strong attention to detail with a creative flair and a “can do” attitude.

Can think like a retailer - FMCG background with ability to challenge stakeholders when needed.

Works without direct supervision and confidently makes decisions.

Can fail fast and regroup quickly to meet deadlines.

Exceptionally strong verbal and written communication, editing and copywriting skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
