**Job Description**:
Great opportunity to oversee our 3rd party Logistics Operations in our national and international supply chains.

Are you experienced in Logistics Transport operations and looking to take the next step in your career with a global ASX listed organisation?

As part of the Supply Chain team and reporting to the Logistics Operations Manager, your role is integral to ensuring the safe, sustainable, and cost-effective management of our supply chain. You will be responsible for overseeing our 3rd Party Logistics Providers to ensure they deliver the best in class service while remaining compliant with relevant Safety, COR and Quality requirements.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

- Driving a safety first culture with our Logistics Providers, ensuring they comply with relevant Safety, COR and Quality requirements, regulations and legislation.
- Deliver continuous improvement in the logistics operation, through resource utilisation, lane analysis and route optimisation.
- Monitor the effective performance of the Logistics Providers to Service, Communication, Fleet, Safety and COR metrics.
- Own the cost performance, invoicing, profitability, reporting, analysis, and insights for the CHEP national and international supply chains.
- Collaborate with Operations, Systems, Planning, and Sales teams to ensure logistics provides the best in class service.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures within the logistics operation which deliver efficiencies.
- Ensure the Logistics Providers use TMS systems and adopt any other technology that is implemented.
- Logistics / supply chain experience
- Strong transport background
- Previous experience with Safety, Quality and Chain Of Responsibility requirements
- Interpersonal skills, including confidently managing 3rd Party Logistics Providers
- Strong negotiation skills - commercial and operational
- Love solving problems
- Understand financial drivers including cost performance, invoicing, and profitability
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Self-driven to achieve and drive outcomes on a daily basis

3 - 5 years
