Mills Recruitment are proud to be working alongside this progressive Local Council situated in the Northern suburbs. They currently have an opportunity for an experienced
**Accounts Receivable/Rates Officer** to join their Finance Team on a
- 6-month contract basis, starting ASAP _with a view to permanency.

This key customer service position is an integral role within a tight-knit Receivables/Rates team. Overall you will be responsible for the administration of the accounts receivable function to allow Council to record and collect sundry debts in an accurate and prompt manner.

**To be successful in this position you should have**:

- Previous relevant experience in a Finance, Accounting or Consumer Debt Collection environment.
- Well developed interpersonal and conflict resolution skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people and groups to ensure delivery of a high level of customer service.
- Proven organisational and administrative skills with the ability to effectively prioritise work requirements and coordinate conflicting priorities to meet strict deadlines.
- Good research and written communication skills.
- Creating and maintaining property database records including street addresses.
- Adhoc duties as requested.
