Global manufacturer are seeking a procurement professional to join their team on a 12 month contract.

**Your new company**

Our client is the global leader in their space, who operate on the cutting edge of technology within their market and are a household name worldwide. To support a current program of work and new product development, they are in the market for a Commercial Manager to join their team and lead all procurement, commercial and contracting activities as part of a high visibility, innovative program of work.

**Your new role**

Reporting to the Project Leader out of a modern facility on the edge of the CBD, this role will be the vital link between project stakeholders and the market, planning, strategising and executing on all procurement activities to support the project.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Leading multi-million dollar strategic sourcing and RFx activity from conception to completion, across technology and non-technology spend
- Aligning procurement activities, plans and schedules with project timelines and priorities through strategic planning
- Maintenance of a contracts register and active contribution to ongoing contract and supplier relationship management
- Acting as the key point of liasion with global procurement stakeholders to leverage global agreements
- Ensuring appropriate procurement compliance and governance

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be successful in this role, you'll be a senior procurement professional, with experience leading end to end procurement activities within a large scale, structured procurement environment, and ideally, having worked as the key procurement delivery partner on a major program of work. Given the project is heavily technology enabled, you will need to bring demonstrable experience managing technology focused procurement activities and have a healthy appreciation for ongoing supplier/vendor management.

You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with and influence stakeholders at all levels to drive commercial outcomes.
