**MECHATRONIC TECHNICAL OFFICER**

**ESSENTIAL SKILLS**
- Bachelors Degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering
- Working knowledge with lithium battery
- Working with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)
- Microprocessor programming using C/C++ programming language
- Object oriented programming languages (e.g. Python, VS C# etc.)
- Analog and Digital Electronic circuit design & development
- Electronic circuit (digital and analog) troubleshooting
- Mechanical designs using computer aided software (preferably Solidworks)

**DESIRABLE SKILLS**
- WA Grade A electrical workers licence and a working knowledge of AS 3000, AS 3008, and AS 2067
- High voltage DC (HVDC) and battery management system (BMS)
- PCB design software, preferably Altium Designer
- Mechanical designs using computer aided software (preferably Solidworks)
- Previous experience in the higher education sector

**RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide technical instruction and guidance to staff and students
- Demonstrated knowledge and committment to safety
- Coordinate all lab facilites / field work resources
- Coordinate all documentation
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures
- Liaise with academic staff to maintain lab classes, procedures and manuals
- Maintain lab equipment
- Coordinate purchasing all resources for lab, students and staff
- Participate in professional development
- Contribute to process improvement
