About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Officer to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment. Experience with month-end closing and advanced Excel skills is essential. Familiarity with financial consolidation, US GAAP reporting and QuickBooks will be considered strong advantages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and manage month-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements.
  • Support reporting requirements under US GAAP (preferred) and ensure compliance with internal policies and external standards.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to management.
  • Liaise with auditors and support audit requirements.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and other ad hoc financial tasks as required.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional qualification (CPA/CA/ACCA) preferred but not essential.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in accounting, with proven exposure to month-end closing.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modelling, etc.).
  • Experience in financial consolidation required.
  • Familiarity with US GAAP reporting highly desirable.
  • QuickBooks experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities under deadlines.
