**Our Journey**:
Our Support Services team provides a range of essential non-clinical services that help our hospitals run. We provide food services, central production kitchen, patient support, porters, cleaning, linen, pest control, waste management, car parking, hygiene services and some retail services.

The Food Services team at Dandenong Hospital requires a qualified Food Services Assistant to prepare and provide meals to our wards striving to consistently deliver high quality and efficient services to our patients.

**A Day in the Life**

Working as part of the Food Services team at Dandenong Hospital, the main focus for a Food Services Assistant is on delivering an exceptional patient meal experience and willing to work within the values of Monash Health. The Food Service Assistant will be committed to work in a team environment with the ability to prioritise your tasks to prepare and provide meals, and delivering outstanding customer services.
- Cleaning within a food services environment that complies with Food Safety Guidelines
- Deliver and distribute meal trays from patients

**About You**:

- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills to provide a personable approach to our patients and visitors at Monash Health.
- A proactive approach and team player
- Good team management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
- Is able to work unsupervised but take direction
- Takes pride in your work with attention to detail and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service

**What you need**:

- Relevant food services certificate (minimum SITXFSA001 - Use hygienic practices for food safety) (Essential)
- Experience as a Food Services Assistant
- A strong understanding of food safety
- Knowledge of stock control (Desirable)
- Knowledge of computer-based menu management system (Desirable)
- Demonstrated experience in customer service from hospitality environment
- Basic to moderate computer skills
