Position summary

BUMA Australia provides a total mine service to Stanwell Corporation’s Meandu Mine to deliver coal to the adjacent Tarong power station.

BUMA Australia is responsible for both managing and operating the mine. Services provided include planning, drilling, overburden removal, coal mining, coal processing, rehabilitation, and maintenance of mobile and fixed plant. The project uses a combination of dragline and truck-and shovel operations. Meandu Mine currently has five working pits, with sufficient coal to fuel the stations until at least 2037.

We are currently seeking an Operational Technology Technician to join the team at our Meandu Mine site located 25 kilometres south-east of Kingaroy. This is a full-time permanent role and a residential position; therefore, no camp or accommodation is provided.

Reporting to the Technology Support Coordinator you will carry out repairs, maintenance, and installation of operational technology systems in a safe and efficient manner.

**ABOUT YOU**:
Tertiary education, Trade or Degree in electrical / engineering, communications, or similar role experience.

Experience maintaining Fleet Management Systems with installation experience preferable.

Exceptional computer literacy, with the ability to support IT systems in the field

Hands-on hardware and software system level troubleshooting is essential

Experience maintaining communications infrastructure including mesh networks

Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Safety focus with a high attention to detail to abide by site safety processes.

Previous experience in mining industry preferable.
