**The opportunity**

The Royal Freemasons community is looking for experienced and motivated Lifestyle Assistant to join our team at Elizabeth Garden’s Residential Aged Care Facility in Burwood.

The Lifestyle Assistant works with Volunteers as well as work closely with Therapy, and Care Staff providing support and activities for the residents of the home.

**Qualifications**
- At least one years’ experience in a similar role within the Health Care or Aged Care environment with exposure to residents with Dementia
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline Certificate IV in Community Services (Lifestyle & Leisure) or / and experience in a Lifestyle position in an Aged Care environment.
- First Aid Certificate Level 2 or equivalent.

**Key responsibilities include**
- Provides accurate documentation to enable ACFI submissions to be completed in accordance to legislative requirements
- Completes lifestyle assessments and review care plans reflecting consumer’s choice in the scheduled timeframes
- Engages and builds lasting relationships with local community groups, schools, religious, civic and businesses that reflect and enhances the consumer’s choice in lifestyle.
- Meets required Aged Care Quality Standards.
- Ability to undertake unannounced accreditation visits within the residential home environment
- Maintaining OH&S compliance
- Provide Lifestyle Choices through the Relationship Model of Care to the consumer within the boundaries of the Accreditation Standards
- A passion for aged care Leisure and lifestyle
- Enthusiasm, passion for aged care, energy, inquisitiveness, initiative and innovative thinking.

**Key Requirements**

It is a mandatory requirement when working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid Police Clearance or National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Screening Clearance, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of this role.

All Aged Care workers must be vaccinated against Covid-19 (3 vaccines) and are encouraged to receive the Flu-Vaccine, all successful applicants will be required to provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination prior to commencement**.**
