**About the Role**

Team Leader ITS Asset Compliance is a position that sits in Intelligent Transport Systems Branch providing expert advice on Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) asset life-cycle management to various teams, groups, projects, and stakeholders within DTP as well as external to DTP.

While reporting to Manager, ITS Asset Management, this position will work closely with various Major Road Projects in Victoria, Network Integration and Assurance division within DTP, various private businesses partners, and a range of Project/Program delivery teams within DTP, leading a team of technical expert and experienced surveillance officers.

This role is required to undertaking safety assurance activities, thorough risk assessments & mitigations activities, active stakeholder engagement, works programming, and scheduling, scoping and business proposal submissions, resource planning, allocation and management, and knowledge management and business continuity activities. Further, this role leads the team with proactive, collaborative, and innovative work practices ensuring the delivery of highest whole of life value with ITS assets to Victorian community.

**Position Outcomes**
The Team Leader, ITS Asset Compliance plays a pivotal role in providing leadership and management to ensure high team engagement and effective delivery of services. This role encompasses providing timely and budget-conscious expert technical and asset management advice to both internal and external projects and stakeholders across the state.

The leader coordinates activities related to the handover and maintenance responsibilities of assets, ensuring compliance with DTP Asset Handover Requirements and Guidelines. They also manage compliance audits to verify asset performance, workmanship quality, adherence to maintenance contracts, traffic management, and OH&S standards for all ITS asset types across the state.

Stakeholder management is a key responsibility, with the Team Leader fostering robust relationships within the ITS Asset Management section and with various stakeholders including government departments, contractors, and the ITS industry, supporting life cycle asset management activities.
