About the Role Reporting to the Coordinator Strategic Asset Management, the Team Leader Asset Strategy and Planning will lead a dedicated team focused on strategic asset management planning across Council's $1+ billion asset base.
Your work will directly inform capital investment decisions, drive innovation in asset practices, underpinned by a climate centric, service led and place-based philosophy and contribute to enhancing the quality of life for the Glen Eira community.
Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of asset strategy and planning professionals.
Develop and implement policies and strategies and plans that deliver civil infrastructure assets.
Ensure integration of asset planning with long-term financial planning and capital works programming.
Drive asset data analysis, lifecycle modelling, and risk-based planning to optimise investment decisions.
Provide expert advice to internal stakeholders on asset condition, renewal, and performance.
Reporting of the asset portfolio across Transport, Stormwater, Buildings and Open Space.
Promote continuous improvement and contribute to strategic initiatives that enhance asset outcomes.
About You Tertiary qualifications in civil engineering, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience in strategic asset management and infrastructure planning.
Strong leadership capability with experience managing or mentoring professional teams.
Experience in the development of annual, medium and long-term capital works programs.
Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
