Direct Care Australia is seeking friendly, professional and committed support workers to deliver support services to vulnerable households across Queensland.

Our support workers enthusiastically deliver domestic assistance, social support, personal care and in home respite.

**About the Role**

You will have experience supporting people with aged related and disability support dependencies.

The role will see you on the front-line providing daily support to persons with a physical disability, intellectual disability and/or with age-related support needs.

The Support Worker role may involve Manual Handling, Use of Lifts and Hoists, Medication administration, Community and Social access, Transportation, and Personal care.

Shifts range from 2-hours, full days and sleepovers in suburbs across Queensland.

A reliable vehicle and availability across Mon - Sun is required.

**Essential Criteria**
- Cert III or IV in Disability/Individual Support/Aged Care encouraged to apply
- Registered Nurses and/or Enrolled Nurses encouraged to apply
- NDIS Worker Clearance Check
- Working with Children Card
- National Criminal History Check
- NDIS Orientation Module Certificate
- Current full driver's license and a reliable vehicle
- Comprehensive car insurance
- Current First Aid / CPR & Manual handling certificates
- Availability and willingness to work across 7 days
- Smart phone required for DCA App and service delivery

Also MUST have the following:

- Ability to provide person-centred and consumer-directed care
- Demonstrated experience working with moderate to high challenging behaviours
- Excellent written and spoken language skills and thorough case-noting experience
- An ability to understand, listen, and communicate with people who have limited verbal communication capabilities or who have English as a second language
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable and flexible
