Soul Support is a leading provider of disability support services, we are goal driven with a passion for neuro-affirming support. We work primarily with kids, teens and young adults and specialise in Autism and Physical Disabilities.

About the role

The Disability Support Worker role at Soul Support is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people living with disabilities.

As a casual support worker, you will be responsible for providing compassionate and professional care, supporting clients to achieve their personal and NDIS goals to enhance their quality of life.

What you'll be doing

  • Facilitating enjoyable and enriching social, recreational, and community engagement activities
  • Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
  • Advocating for clients and supporting them to access services and resources
  • Collaborating with the client's support network to ensure a holistic approach to care
  • Promoting client independence, dignity, and choice in all aspects of service delivery

What we're looking for

  • MUST HAVE - Yellow Card, WWC, Drivers License, Car, Car Insurance, First Aid & CPR
  • PREFERRED BUT NOT ESSENTIAL - Certificate III or IV in Disability Services, or equivalent
  • Experience providing direct care and support to individuals with disabilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
  • Passion for empowering individuals and a commitment to person-centred care
  • Flexibility and the ability to adapt to the unique needs and preferences of each client
