Your key accountabilities
**The core capability requirements for this role are**:
- Draft, maintain and continuously improve major incident and problem management policies and procedures in line with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) standard. Educate division management and staff in structured major incident and problem management processes and promote the management of non-major incidents and problems as a standard process. Proactively prevent the recurrence of major incidents through maintaining close working relationships with operational support teams, vendors and business units. Lead and coordinate the management of major incidents and problems through to resolution to minimise the impact on business operations across the customer environments. Perform continuous effective human resource management practices within your group including staff development, training, succession planning, and performance management. Perform proactive activities to recognise trends among incidents and problems and provide advice to management and stakeholders regarding the impact and resolution of major incidents and problems.

- ITIL Foundation v3/2011 certification.

- ITIL Support and Restore certification;
- Kepner Tregoe;
- Kepner Fourie;
- Knowledge Centred Support certification;
- Problem Methodology certification.
