About the Role

This role will provide high-quality support to the Fuel & Logistics teams which will have a positive impact on the performance of the commercial and financial fuel portfolio. This role provides support for the day-to-day commercial contract administration, and communicates regularly with suppliers and contractors to receive, and give information concerning fuel supplies.

The Fuel Supplies Officer will liaise with internal stakeholders on matters relating to fuel supply in the short term and provides proactive support to the Fuel and Logistics team.

What you’ll be doing:
- Maintain record data for weigher readings and other sources, performing necessary calculations to ensure accurate coal and diesel fuel delivery and consumption data is available for corporate accounting and reporting purposes.- Assist with the management of data within AGL’s fuel inventory management systems, including Aligne, J5, and various spreadsheets as they relate to fuel and transport.- Maintain laboratory records of coal sampling analyses to ensure such records are available for product quality comparisons against contracts.- Follow up irregular sampling results or weights with relevant stakeholders.- Advise internal stakeholders of diesel fuel deliveries as required.- Identify discrepancies in records of fuel deliveries and resolve them with suppliers.- Raise POs and complete service entries within Fiori/S4HANA as required- Accurately enter data in the fuel accounting system, Aligne, ready for reconciliation at end-of-month.- Maintain fuel records to ensure accurate records are kept for auditing and legislative requirements.- Contribute to the collation and presentation of portfolio information to key stakeholders. both internal and external.- Provide broad administrative assistance within the Fuel & Logistics team, assisting members of the team as required to ensure the team's operations are conducted efficiently and effectively.

About You

What you’ll bring to the table:
- Ability to build and manage relationships (internal/external) at all levels- Ability to understand complex analytical concepts- Ability to work independently and with a diverse team of professionals- Excellent presentation, communication, and problem-solving skills- Ability to plan and prioritise work to meet strict timeframes- Knowledge of the coal industry and the Hunter Valley coal chain is highly regarded- High regard for the health, safety and welfare of people- Skills in MS Office product suite, inventory management systems, such as Aligne, and experience with an integrated procurement system such as SAP and other large ERP systems- Relevant tertiary qualification (or working towards) such as a degree in commerce, business, Logistics, accounting, or finance would be highly regarded
