About the Role

The Business Insights Specialist will be a key expert advisor to the business, unlocking the value of C&I data through the provision of accurate and timely information to support the decisions our people make every day.

Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Develop and co-ordinate all the reporting and analytical needs for Business Sales- develop insights on customer and pricing behavior using customer data and reports- provide analytical support for customer segmentation; identifying key market segments inline with industry and economic trends- provide ongoing analysis and management of the sales incentives scheme including tracking sales performance- drive the budgeting and forecasting activities- scope, develop and automate reports to support day-to-day decision making for the broader sales team, including sales pipeline and contracting information

To be successful, you’ll have:
- The ability to visualise data to support decision making- demonstrated experience as a data analyst or insights specialists- previous exposure to working in or supporting a commercial or sales function- excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate insights and analytics into business decision information- Proficient in using visualising tools like Power BI- advanced demonstrable skills in data extraction and mining skills; e.g. MS SQL Server, SAP HANA as well as advanced knowledge of Excel

This is a pivotal role within the Sales function. It is a unique platform to take ownership of the analysis and reporting to really drive the strategic objective of business sales and spearhead the sales growth for AGL.
