Here’s what you’ll be doing:
As our Accounts Payable Officer, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our finance operations. You’ll handle a variety of accounting and administrative tasks to maintain accurate and efficient accounts payable processes.- Reviewing all invoices for proper documentation and approval before processing.- Preparing invoices and settlement runs to meet payment deadlines.- Maintaining thorough and accurate files and documentation, following company policies and accounting standards.- Reconciling GP supplier accounts for period-end accruals.- Investigating and resolving discrepancies in vendor statements.- Setting up new vendors in the system and managing updates to existing vendor details.-
- Supporting cashflow forecasting by tracking future accounts payable expenses.- Assisting with GST obligations, ensuring compliance with legislation and timely submissions.- Participating in projects to enhance accounts payable processes.

How You'll Know You're Winning:
- Timely and accurate invoice processing and payments.- Strong supplier relationships built on clear communication and prompt issue resolution.- Compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.- Accurate accounts payable data reflected in the accounting system.- Effective collaboration with other departments to achieve company objectives.

We’re looking for someone with:
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.- A problem-solving mindset and basic accounting knowledge.- The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus.- Previous experience in accounts payable, especially in a large, multi-site organisation (desirable but not essential).- Relevant qualifications (TAFE or tertiary) and/or experience with Workday ERP (desirable but not essential).
