Opportunity for an experienced Safety Professional
Opportunity for an experienced Safety Professional with a background in Workplace Health & Safety, Compliance or HR to work for a Not-for-Profit Organisation. This opportunity is 0.6 FTE.

**Your new role**
Reporting to the People, Quality and Systems Manager, the purpose of the role is to provide support and maintenance elements to the Organisations Risk Frameworks, and their related compliance and reporting requirements. Other duties include but are not limited to;
- Understanding and relevant work experience in managing a risk and compliance framework within a regulated business environment.
- Demonstrated experience in advising Senior Managers of trends in risks and opportunities and designing continuous improvement programs.
- An understanding of a manufacturing or production environment in a strong people-orientated business.
- Planning and organising priorities, both individually and as a member of a team.
- Empathy, understanding and a positive approach to ensuring the rights and responsibilities of people.
- Proven experience with the ability to provide examples of compliance, strong communication, risk management, workplace health and safety accountabilities and financial management and budgeting.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Be responsible for managing time and prioritising tasks to ensure deadlines are met and work is performed to high standards.
- Research and utilise the key legislation, policies and processes required to fulfil the duties of the role and to stay informed about the NDIS sector.
- Competently use ICT systems and platforms relevant to the position.
- Possess a sound knowledge of the statutory requirements of Mandatory Reporting, Workplace Health and Safety Notifiable Incidents, NDIS Commission Reportable Incidents, Duty of Care, Privacy legislation and Anti-Discrimination legislation.
- Be committed to support and advance the purpose of the organisation.
- A clear national police check, current Working with Vulnerable People card and pre-employment medical that meet the requirements of the organisation.
- Maintaining a current driver’s licence is a requirement of this role.
