Scheduler - Project Planner job in Melbourne with a government organisation.

**Your new company**
A key stakeholder in the development and delivery of a broad portfolio of projects aimed to establish a commercial-scale carbon capture and storage (CCS) network in Victoria, Australia.

**Your new role**
The role is to provide detailed scheduling and planning advice to assist the team as they progress the final stages of the Establishment and Development phase of the project, culminating in a Final Investment decision (FID). You’ll:

- Develop, manage, update, and monitor individual work package schedules and integrate into an overall master program schedule
- Support the internal customers with project scheduling and analysis services - interpret the project team’s needs, assess requirements, and identify solutions to non-standard requests
- Liaise with project teams and contractors regarding the scheduling of activities, development of project plans and projections, resource loading requirements, and the identification of milestones, and integrate these into the overall project schedule
- Provide business improvement initiatives for deployment of new processes, procedures, and systems to support the project

**What you'll need to succeed**
Strategic and tactical in your approach you can work collaboratively to deliver results. You are confident in analysing risk and developing mitigation strategies whilst also having excellent negotiation skills and influencing skills. You’ll have:

- Significant experience in a relevant project scheduler position or similar role within Pipeline and/or Oil & Gas
- Extensive experience in project controls and time/schedule management with a high level of competency in MS Project and/or Primavera P6
- Advanced understanding/knowledge of project execution processes / workflow, schedule baseline development and maintenance, progress measurement and project management reporting systems
