**The Role**

**The Team**
- The positions of Lead Project Geoscientist form a part of CarbonNet within the Industry, Trade and Investment group.
- The Industry, Trade and Investment (ITI) Group works closely with businesses locally and globally to grow Victorian jobs, drive innovation and increase Victoria's international competitiveness. ITI champions Victoria as a destination of choice for trade and international investment, international education and innovation. CarbonNet is jointly funded by the State and Commonwealth governments to investigate the feasibility of commercial scale carbon capture and storage in Gippsland.

**About You**
- Demonstrated geological knowledge and experience in Oil and Gas or CCS in subsurface exploration or development projects. Experience in the Gippsland Basin would be advantageous.
- Geoscientific skills and experience that would ideally include a combination of seismic interpretation, well correlation, core analysis, petrophysics, subsurface facies analysis and mapping, and well planning and engineering. Some experience with inputs to static and dynamic models and SLB Petrel or competitor software would be an advantage.
