**About the Role**
YMCA WA is recruiting for a **12-month fixed term part time and or Full Time Youth Parliament Coordinator** located in Leederville. This role is responsible for all operational aspects of the YMCA WA’s Youth Parliament Program, ensuring the smooth running of the project and adherence to stated key performance indicators and outcomes.
YMCA WA’s Youth Parliament program endeavours to educate, empower and unite young people to bring about positive social change. The program provides young people with an opportunity to share their ideas and views with their community and the State Government.
**Duties**
- Supervision of program participants guiding through mentoring, role modelling and effective supervision
- Administrative duties including reporting and budgeting
- Build and maintain relationship with stakeholders
- Develop and implement weekly program
- Ensure compliance with H&S policies and procedures
- Be available to ‘live in’ at the campsite during the week of Youth Parliament.
- Oversee Taskforce and delegate duties to ensure coordinated and smooth running of camp
**Skills and Experience**
- National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check
- HLTAID003 First Aid and Mental Health First Aid or willingness to obtain
- Relevant tertiary degree and/or equivalent experience.
- Sound administration skills and Microsoft Office proficiency
- Exceptional planning, organisation and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
