**About the role**

WesTrac is seeking a team-oriented Workshop Supervisor to lead a team of technicians. Reporting to the MARC Manager you will be responsible for the overall management of a team of tradespeople to ensure safety and quality of work is of the highest standard.The role is a full-time permanent position working a rotating day and night roster of 12-hour shifts. A generous remuneration package is on offer for this role.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Managing a team of highly skilled mechanical and electrical tradespeople.
- Managing all operational, performance and reliability aspects of the customers fleet of Caterpillar 797F Ultra-Class Off-Highway Trucks.
- Embedding a ground-up continuous improvement process with the execution teams including the collaboration and sharing of transferable learnings;
- Fostering a culture of risk management in maintenance processes by mandating hazard identification and the development of SWP's and JSA's as part of doing daily work.
- Fleet performance compliance and reporting in accordance with contractual and statutory obligations and customer expectations
- Establishing and implementing work-management processes to increase the utilisation and efficiency of resources during daily service works;
- Working with the planner to continuously develop fleet scheduled and condition-based maintenance strategies and tactics;
- Leading and contributing to incident investigations and component failure analysis activities of plant and equipment.
- Maintaining a strong cost focus whilst achieving key fleet performance targets in accordance with the MARC

**Skills and Experience**:

- Mechanical and/or Electrical trade qualification preferred.
- Certificate IV Leadership & management qualification or equivalent highly regarded
- Proven experience leading and supervising a team for highly skilled tradespersons
- Previous experience building and maintaining customer relationships
- Sound knowledge of Caterpillar equipment and literature systems
