**About the role**

Located in our Brisbane Corporate office and reporting to the Manager Accounting AUS, you will be key in assisting and ensuring the successful preparation, review and delivery of Curragh’s financial results in compliance with Executive Management and, internal and external reporting timeframes. This role will be a Fixed-Term 6-month contract.

Your role will be rewarding and varied, where you will:

- Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end tasks for Curragh accounting ledgers, adhering to SOX controls and IFRS/US GAAP standards.
- Oversee and develop a team consisting of Accounts Payable members and Financial Accountants.
- Manage balance sheets, revenue, and various accounting entries for Coronado Curragh and Purchase Price Adjustment ledgers, excluding mine cash costs.
- Coordinate the preparation of Curragh coal inventory model, collaborating with technical services, sales, and marketing teams for physical and stockpile data.
- Supervise monthly accounting activities for Curragh, including accounts receivable recognition, invoicing for non-coal sales, demurrage, prepayments, accruals, royalties, leases, intercompany transactions, and foreign currency revaluations.
- Maintain the fixed assets register, overseeing disposals, additions, reconciliations, and movement roll forward schedules monthly.
- Manage capital project accounting and associated reporting.
- Prepare quarterly statutory reports and provide commentary on balance sheets and profit and loss variances.
- Ensure timely completion of quarterly government surveys, including ABS and DNRME coal statistics, along with other industry surveys

**About You**
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Accounting
- Fully qualified CA/CPA with experience in professional services or commercial accounting, emphasizing month-end responsibilities and reporting obligations.
- Skilled in stakeholder management and influencing individuals across different levels.
- Proficient in fixed assets accounting.
- Previous employment with large multi-listed or ASX listed companies.
- Extensive experience collaborating with external auditors.
- Understanding of internal controls, SOX requirements, US GAAP, and IFRS accounting principles, with desirable experience in the mining or resources industry.
