**About the role**:
We are seeking a full-time Head of People to lead and oversee the human resource functions within Oakberry Australia. This role will be pivotal in aligning our People & Culture strategies with business objectives, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, and supporting the continued growth and success of our dynamic organization. You will work closely with senior management to implement effective HR practices, manage recruitment, and develop initiatives to enhance employee engagement, retention and experience.

**Responsibilities & Duties**:

- Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures that align with business goals.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning to ensure the business attracts and retains top talent.
- Manage employee relations, performance reviews, and training programs to foster professional development.
- Ensure compliance with Australian employment laws and regulations, including awards and enterprise agreements.
- Provide expert advice to managers on HR matters, including employee engagement, conflict resolution, and workplace health and safety.
- Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to create a supportive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Develop and oversee compensation and benefits programs to ensure competitiveness and fairness.
- Monitor and report on HR metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of HR strategies and identify areas for improvement.
- Facilitate succession planning and leadership development to support the business’s long-term growth.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement change management strategies that support organizational goals.

**About you**:

- To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a Human Resources leadership role, preferably within the franchising or retail sector.
- A Bachelor’s degree (or higher qualification) in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of Australian employment law, workplace health and safety regulations, and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Proven experience in managing recruitment, performance management, and employee development initiatives.
- A strategic mindset, with the ability to align HR practices with organizational objectives.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
