**The Opportunity**

Our Port Kembla Manufacturing facility is looking for a **Mechanical Technician** in our** Hot Strip Mill (HSM) Team** based in **Port Kembla**. As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers.

**What Will You Do?**

In a role that impacts the safety of our people as well as the quality and reliability of our equipment and products, you will:

- isolate equipment and perform maintenance
- inspect quality critical equipment and fault find
- plan and organise for repairs via our maintenance management system
- contribute to the team with out of hours support as required
- seek ways to continuously improve our maintenance strategies

**More About You**

As a mechanical maintenance tradesperson, you’ll enjoy taking ownership for your work and contributing to the larger team. You will bring:

- a Mechanical Trade or tertiary qualifications (Mechanical Engineering - Fitting/Machining)
- experience working in a similar industry within Mechanical Maintenance, with a focus on defect elimination and equipment reliability
- proven exposure to maintenance management systems and basic computer skills or willingness to learn
- an enthusiasm to learn new skills and develop yourself in the role
