**The Opportunity**

Come and discover the opportunity to join our **Coupled Pickled Cold Mill (CPCM)** **Asset Team** at our **Port Kembla** Manufacturing facility as a **Mechanical Maintenance Technician**. As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers.

The Coupled Pickled Cold Mill is a highly automated processing line that uses a blend of old and new technology. The CPCM is toward the end of the steel-making process with the primary purpose of strip thickness reduction in preparation for the downstream steel coating processes.

As a skilled Mechanical Tradesperson, you will perform maintenance to our CPCM as required, while also being directly involved with the planning of maintenance in conjunction with our maintenance coordinators.

**What Will You Do?**

In a role that impacts the safety of our people as well as the quality and reliability of our equipment and products, you will:

- as a part of the mechanical team, isolate equipment for shutdown works
- fault find and inspect quality and production critical equipment
- perform mechanical maintenance within the CPCM on a daily basis and on shut downs
- contribute to the team with out of hours support as required
- participate in ways to continuously improve our maintenance practises

**More About You**

As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you’ll enjoy taking ownership for your work and contributing to the larger team. You will bring:

- mechanical fitter/machinist qualifications consisting of either a Certificate III, Certificate IV, or Diploma.
- experience in a heavy industrial environment
- exposure to maintenance management systems and/or basic computer skills
- an enthusiasm to learn new skills and develop yourself in the role
