**About the Opportunity**

We have an exciting opportunity to join Metcash as a Commercial Analyst. As part of our IT Commercial Finance team, you will provide financial input and costs analysis into IT operations and projects.

You will work closely with key stakeholders, including project teams, IT Management, external vendors and other finance functions.

**In this Role**
- Provide month end reporting & analysis of financial results (including insights)
- Annual budget and forecast preparation and variance analysis (including insights)
- Manage the hardware maintenance and software license accounts, ensure data accuracy and track to service level agreements
- Cost optimization - Communicate results and recommendations to senior management for improvements that will lead to cost reduction and streamlining operations
- Build a cost model to identify the cost drivers to create visibility and transparency to the business
- Benefits tracking for all IT projects especially for Hardware and Software cost optimisation initiatives.
- Proactively review the processes and procedures, document recommendations
- Ad hoc projects and analysis, as required

**You’re Likely a Match If you have**
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, CPA/CA qualified or studying towards
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in a finance and cost analysis-based role
- Financial system experience: Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Concur, TM1
- Advanced PC Skills including Excel, PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisation skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Demonstrated initiative and ownership with a can-do attitude
- Experience with IT infrastructure, software licenses and projects will be an advantage
