**Description**:
Through both a hands-on, and team mentoring approach, you’ll be the creative gatekeeper who oversees and encourages inspiring artistry across the department, designing physical and virtual concepts that captivate and inform our audience to incite purchase. You’ll present ideas and concepts for approval, ensuring cohesion with seasonal boards and trends, which deliver against commercial aims and encapsulates imagery and layouts that fit seamlessly into the vision.

A day in the life of our Design Lead...
- Leading a talented group of designers (traditional and digital) to conceptualise campaigns for print and digital catalogues and lookbooks, ensuring packaging and instore collateral assimilates with digital campaigns
- Producing creative, high-quality visual design assets for both print and digital formats, implementing best practices and aligning to the company guidelines and strategy
- Collaborating with the Head of Marketing to develop brand content concepts and narratives which successfully connect product attributes, visuals, and messaging
- Collaborating with the CEO and Head of Marketing to ensure catalogue and look book layout and imagery is optimised in line with the commercial business objectives
- Presenting overarching creative campaign concepts which connect the buying vision and intent, with a summarised rationale and visual springboard for campaign development and roll out, ensuring coherency and consistency
- Researching and understanding design, architectural and marketing trends using various subscription and desktop resources that the têxtile designers and buyers use, which help define seasonal creative direction in a fresh and innovative way
- Ensuring file output adheres to artwork standards: file formats, specifications, colour breakdowns, etc.
- Working closely and collaboratively with our agency partners to ensure all projects meet brand requirements

About you...
- You’ll have a strong command of visual design principles, including composition, layout, information hierarchy, typography, colour, etc.
- You’ll demonstrate significant experience (6+ years) working in a similar design-led role, and have a portfolio full to the brim of unique, beautiful artwork, media and creative concepts
- You’ll need to be comfortable with juggling (briefs, not balls), as this role and team will work across many design projects simultaneously
- You will have strong stakeholder management and verbal communications skills, coupled with the ability to present design work to multiple areas of the business
- You’ll show an unwavering passion for exceptional, eye-catching design (a love of interiors wouldn’t go amiss either)
- You will hold expert status within Adobe CC suite, including Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro and After Effects
- You’ll be an experienced illustrator and animator, with strong video editing ability

A few nice-to-haves, but we'll overlook them if you've got everything else in your tool kit...
- Experience working with Motion/HTML5 to produce digital display assets highly desirable
- Knowledge of XHTML, CSS and Wordpress for eDM and web page builds highly desirable
- Experience art directing photo shoots and working closely with photographers, videographers and re-touchers would be highly regarded
