**About the role**
The Associate Director, Library Learning and Academic Skills will play a pivotal role in leading the design, delivery, and enhancement of academic support services for students across coursework and graduate research programs. Working closely with the Teaching and Learning Innovation leadership team, this role will drive the development of innovative services aimed at improving students’ scholarly, digital, and language skills.

Reporting to the Deputy Director, Teaching and Learning Innovation, the role will drive initiatives aligned with the University's Advancing Students and Education Strategy and Widening Participation Agenda. A key focus will be overseeing service models, metrics, and staff development while contributing to strategic decisions, policy development, and the transformation of teaching and learning services across the University.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Lead and enhance the delivery of Library Learning and Academic Skills services.
- Drive continuous improvement on strategic and operational priorities of the student experience through the program.
- Lead the development of an operational framework to guide scalable delivery of student support policy.
- Provide high-level management and oversight of specialised teams to deliver best practice scholarly experiences.

**Who we are looking for**
You will be a seasoned leader with a proven track record in delivering exceptional service provision, using data to drive continuous improvement, and translating strategic plans into actionable outcomes. With outstanding communication and presentation skills, you will manage diverse stakeholder groups and advocate for business value, aligning impact with organisational strategy while contributing to its development.

You will also have:

- Post-graduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience, or equivalent academic library expertise through professional experience and training.
- Deep functional knowledge and proven expertise in leading and managing complex, strategic, and integrated service functions within the higher education sector.
- Strong technical skills in strategic program planning, complex decision-making, and resource allocation, with the ability to deliver concurrent initiatives alongside ongoing operational requirements.
