**Disability Support Worker**

**Casual Positions leading to permanent part-time positions.**

Phoenix Lifestyle Support Association Inc. is a not-for-profit disability support service provider located in the Redlands, Brisbane. We are a small organisation that provides both community participation and supported independent living for intellectually and physically challenged individuals.

We are currently looking for a male disability worker who is passionate about working with people with disabilities. The right person for this role will understand the philosophy of the NDIS, and actively promote choice and control for the individuals they support.

There are two men, sharing a supported independent living home, looking for the right disability support worker.

**Duties**
- The role requires the support worker to be available to work nights (from 4:30pm to 8:30am) and some weekends
- Liaise with families.
- Complete household duties/meal preparation/personal care activities/administration of medication.
- Maintain appropriate record keeping both written and electronic.

**To be considered for this position you must have:

- **
- Proven experience as a disability support worker.
- Cert II in Individual Support or relevant qualification
- Current First Aid certificate and current CPR
- Australian or NZ citizenship or the capacity to work in Australia.
- Experience meeting the needs of individuals with complex needs, including those with challenging behaviours.
- Current disability worker screening clearance card.
- Must be available to work nights.
- Open Drivers licence with own vehicle
- Smart mobile phone
- Experience working with people requiring PEG feeding would be highly regarded.
