An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced** NAATI Certified** **Vietnamese Interpreter and Translator** to join our **Language Services Department. **This is a Part Time role 30 hours per week.

**Details of position**:

- Provide high quality interpreting and translating services for Vietnamese speaking patients and Austin Health staff
- Maintain accurate statistics of interpreting work undertaken
- Adhere to the standards of the Language Services Department as outlined in the Austin Interpreter Guidelines and Protocols
- Promote ongoing education and learning for all Austin Health staff and patients regarding interpreting services
- Work collaboratively with Austin Health staff to ensure a timely and effective service in keeping with Austin health values

**Essential requirements for this role**:

- **
Only** **NAATI **Certified Interpreters will be considered. Certified provisional interpreters with medical experience may be considered
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in working in a health service
- Excellent organisational skills
- Able to work as part of a team
