- This position is an individual contributor in Information Technology and provides an opportunity to develop your career in Operating System administration and hardware support in a heterogenous environment comprising of Linux, Solaris, HP-UX, AIX, and public cloud servers
- You will work closely with the other team members within the UnixLinux Platform Operations Team, alongside other Platform Teams including Wintel, Citrix, CyberOps, CloudOps, VMWare, Security and PMO

**We will count on you to**:

- Install, monitor and manage Unix/Linux server infrastructure involving OVM SPARC, OVM-x86, HP-UX; Unix System Administrators will also install, monitor, and manage advanced features (LVM, zpools filesystems, Solaris/Linux container/ldoms migration)
- Perform installations, patches, upgrades, capacity planning and performance tuning of Redhat Linux 7/8, Solaris 11/10 LDOMs/Containers, HP-UX; through approved change management mechanisms
- Diagnose, monitor and troubleshoot system performance
- Manage incident tickets to resolution, within SLA and to approved documented standards
- Diagnose/repair system problems; utilising tools sets available and working closely with internal groups/vendor support
- Complete projects as a team member and lead internal project initiatives when required
- Ensure all corporate processes are adhered to, ensuring changes to the Enterprise Service infrastructure are fully documented following the best practice principles of ITIL

**What you need to have**:

- Bachelor’s degree in IT preferred, Diploma in IT minimum required
- 5+ years of work experience in a similar role
- Expertise in Oracle Linux, Oracle Linux Manager, Oracle Linux Automation Manager
- Expertise in OVM SPARC administration, LDOM/Containers migration, zpools
- Expertise in Oracle RAC technology for OS administration
- Expertise with Red Hat Satellite 6 and good working knowledge on VMware private cloud and Redhat cluster
- Should have working knowledge of network tiers

**What **makes you stand out?**
- Flexible in working early or late in the shift on a need basis
- Experience with Public Cloud infrastructure such as AWS or Azure
- Good knowledge of Ansible Tower, Shell, Scripting according to the requirement
- Good knowledge of SAN/NAS administration with products like EMC, Netapp, Infinidat on Solaris
