The role
We currently have a vacancy of a Retail Development Partner (WA/SA/NT) to join our National Workforce Development team responsible for consulting with regional stakeholders, identify training needs, developing and facilitate training for new and existing personnel within Salvos Stores.
Salvos Stores plays an essential role in supporting the local community and is a destination for the second-hand retail enthusiasts. Requirements on the role:
- Facilitate induction/role orientation training sessions for new retail employees and assess competence at completion of the training
- Provide on-the-job coaching and development interventions for retail personnel where the line manager requires additional support
- In consultation with the National Workforce Development Team Leader and Manager, partner with key stakeholders across Salvos Stores to develop training packages and modules for business initiatives identified
- In consultation with National Workforce Development Team Leader & Manager, liaise with training partners to identify training opportunities in order to build capability across Salvos Stores retail teams
- Facilitate training programs for employees and volunteers as directed by National Workforce Development Team Leader
- Lead the regional roll out of national Projects and Process
- Evaluate learning activities with key learning recommendations reported as required
- Review practices in facilitating the Workforce Development experience and recommend improvements
- Compile training reports for Line Manager detailing training activities and anomalies as required
- Co-ordinate and manage regional training calendar
- Maintain and update training records in the LEARN learning management system
- Work collaboratively with retail store, area and regional managers to determine priorities and develop integrated solutions that deliver key outcomes
About you:
- Minimum 3 year’s experience in a similar role
- Relevant industry knowledge (retail) preferable but not essential
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and/or Diploma of Business (or similar)
- Proof of eligibility to work in Australia A national police record check is required
- Must maintain a current and valid police check
- Current driver’s licence
- The ability to travel interstate and regionally, including overnight stays when required
- Ensure that all mandatory compliance training and refreshers are completed and up to date.
