We have an open role for an **Associate Product Manager**, who will help support our Product Development, Manufacturing, Marketing and Sales teams to bring fantastic lighting and control products to market

While architectural or theatrical lighting knowledge is not a must, it would be a huge plus. Eagerness to learn is just as valuable to us

There will be opportunities to travel to different international markets and to spend time at our corporate headquarters in California.

**About This Role**:
The **Associate Product Manager** assists the product management team in the planning, organization and life cycle of the product portfolio, while also providing technical support for product exhibitions at tradeshows. This includes developing product marketing business plans and financial reporting to support the company’s strategic plan.

**Essential Functions**:

- Supports the team to ensure that all existing products in the portfolio are aligned with our corporate quality standards. Works with the engineering team to define final product functional and appearance specifications.
- Assists the Technical Manager with all marketing and development needs of the product line.
- Analyses and understands the customer’s needs and expectations. Assists in the research necessary to obtain the specific market facts and helps make the final determination on which ideas to pursue.
- Creates realistic Return on Investment analysis to financially justify proposed development programs.
- Serves on new product development and sustainability teams.
- Assists in developing a detailed and time-integrated plan for introducing and marketing the products. Works with the Manager to develop in-season product promotions for new and existing products. Reports the success or failure of development programs that are brought to market.
- Calls on customers to obtain market data, solve technical issues, and support the overall knowledge and ability of the sales team as it pertains to the product line. Prepares long-term sales forecasts for the product line.
- Collaborates on the installation of products for tradeshows. Conducts proper installation of components and understands how they need to work to positively impact our customer’s impressions.
- Assists in the development of standard and published pricing structures for the product line.
- Provides source data for all communications pieces about the product line and assists in the review of communication pieces for technical accuracy.
- Makes recommendations on the nature and scope of the present and future product line while continually seeking out new uses for existing products.

**Education/Training Required and Preferred**:

- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Marketing or related field, or equivalent education and work experience.

**Experience Required and Preferred**:

- Minimum two years of experience in Product Development, Brand Management, Product Management, Marketing Management or related work experience.

- Technical aptitude.
- Understanding of cost analysis and budgeting
- Problem-solving skills include problem analysis, planning, organizing, decision-making, and judgment.
- Interpersonal skills including strong leadership skills, awareness, and personal impact.
- Computer literacy including PC proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Ability to travel internationally occasionally
- Industry-specific experience and certifications preferred.

**Work Environment**:

- Primarily office based, with use of the workshops and development labs when needed

Pay: $75,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
