**Your new role**
As Coordinator, Risk and Infringements, effectively lead the team and facilitate the embedding of a risk management culture as part of the organisations everyday decision making by:
- Developing the capability, cohesion and performance of the risk and infringements team
- Building relationships and working positively and productively across council, the community, and external stakeholders
- Keeping ahead of sector changes and issues with respect to risk, insurance and infringement matters and providing expert advice and support on these issues
- Leading the delivery of good risk management, insurance and infringement frameworks, processes, and practice
- Assisting to provide high quality support services are provided to Audit and Risk Management Committee
- Assisting to ensure the effectiveness of the internal audit program and implementation of audit recommendations across the Council
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful in this role you must have demonstrated experience in providing strategic and operational advice in the areas of Risk, Audit and Insurance management. this will be supported by;
- Qualifications in Risk Management or related discipline
- Experience in leading the delivery of good risk management, insurance and infringement frameworks, processes and practice.
- Passion for developing capability, cohesion and performance in their team.
- Stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work positively and productively across internal and external groups.
- Cognisance of sector changes and issues with respect to risk, insurance and infringement matters and the ability to provide expert advice and support on these issues to a range of stakeholders.
- Experience with Audit and Risk Management Committee/s and/or Programs plus Business Continuity Planning is highly prized.
