Field Operations Supervisor

Position Overview:
The Field Operations Supervisor provides leadership and direction to employees and subcontractors engaged in the repair, maintenance, and/or installation of field equipment, to ensure the completion of all maintenance works in accordance with contractual requirements and client expectations.

Additionally, the Field Operations Supervisor manages the Field Technicians in the NSW Maintenance Team, as direct reports, providing them with mentoring and guidance in career development.

The Field Operations Supervisor will also work with the Project Teams and Clients on new and existing solutions to ensure successful delivery of services.

Essential Responsibilities:
Leadership
- Manages, as direct Reports, the Field Technicians in the NSW Maintenance Team, including, if necessary, Performance Management.
- Develops and motivates employees by means of strong communication, timely feedback, valuable coaching, and well-written and meaningful performance reviews.
- Actively identifies ways to continually create a work environment where employees feel highly valued and engaged.
- Conducts regular 1-on-1 sessions with each employee while also regularly communicating with their team via ongoing staff meetings and/or team huddles.
- Works with leader and Human Resources to address any sensitive employee performance and/or behavior issues in a very timely manner.
- Serves as a change-agent in helping to implement process and/or organizational change efforts across the department.
- Deputises for the Manager, NSW Maintenance Program in their absence.
- Leading the development and implementation of Service Improvements.
- Assist Manager, NSW Maintenance Program & HR to recruit and interview new staff.
- Communicates effectively with internal customers (Admin) regarding scheduling, progress, and follow-up.
- Coordinates team’s technical training.
- Runs internal operational meeting/s, at least weekly.
- Approvals of direct reports expense claims ensuring compliance with company policy.
- Other duties as assigned.

Service Delivery
- Ensuring the remedial maintenance/ certifications of Verra Mobility’s systems.
- Provides the benchmark for maintenance activity execution that the team should aim to replicate.
- Reviews Standard Operating Procedures annually and manages creation of new documents as required.
- Ensures the effective maintenance of an up-to-date central knowledge database for all service maintenance tasks and activities.
- Maintains positive customer relationships; attend client meetings and provide investigation and post incident review reports as required.
- Handles technical enquiries from Field Technicians, Remote Operations and Admin. Where unable to personally resolve, routes questions and problems of a technical nature appropriately.
- Assist Admin to engage and co-ordinate contractors, plant & equipment hire.

Working with Projects
- Liaises with Project Teams at the Design phase to provide lessons learnt and information about locally implemented modifications to aid support.
- Works with Project Team towards successful transition into support handovers, including providing resources to shadow early installations.
- Attend potential new sites to appraise suitability for installation and assess Traffic management and advise Project team on future maintenance considerations.
- Provide technical/maintenance guidance to assist Projects to quote on works.

Safety
- Observes relevant safety and security standards, report on potential risks / hazards, and determine appropriate corrective actions.
- Participate in ISO 9001 Quality Assurance audits and ensure compliance of team.
- Ensures that all maintenance activities are undertaken in accordance with Verra Mobility workplace health, safety, environment and quality policies and procedures to ensure the safety of all employees and contractors.
- Work to support and affirm Verra Mobility WHS Strategy.
- Ensure employees comply with Lifesaving Rules and ensure consequence management as required.

Other
- Occasional interstate travel may be required.
- Undertakes other duties as reasonably directed.

Qualifications:

- Degree in a business or technology field or equivalent experience desired.
