**About the Role**:
Due to expansion and growth, a new opportunity is available in the Risk Management & Operations team to
**assist in risk management, monitoring trading servers and handling trading related operations.**

This is a unique opportunity for a Risk Management & Operations professional, where you will be supported with the tools and technology to enable you to provide exceptional service. You must be flexible, adaptable, independent, and at times be
**available to work weekends and nights**.

Reporting to the Risk & Operations Supervisor, you will work closely with the day shift team members in Australia and night shift team members abroad to perform operational tasks such as trade reconciliations, trade investigations and support and assist clients with technical enquiries. In addition, you will assist with risk management and risk analysis & reporting and research new products/services including Cryptocurrencies.

**Responsibilities**:

- Monitor trade exposure to minimise clients' trading risk
- Hedging reconciliation
- Create new or update existing trade-related parameters in the trading software environment to reflect market conditions
- Monitor and investigate any unusual trading activities
- Undertake trade dispute investigations and conduct daily market analysis
- Attend to server outage issues when required
- Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Locate and define new process improvement opportunities and document them
- Supporting the data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting requirements
- Work closely with the IT team to create new or improve existing daily operations and risk management processes
- Stay informed about new tools, technology, trends in the industry

**Previous skills and experience**:

- The flexibility and willingness to work weekends
- Ability to work with MySQL, Amazon Redshift is preferable but not essential
- Advanced mathematical skills and Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and motivate others
- Bachelor degree in either Finance, Economics or IT
- Previous experience working in a Risk Management or Operations team is an advantage
- Sceptical and fast thinking
- Able to work autonomously both within our diverse team and unsupervised
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Able to cope well under pressure, be agile and flexible
- Knowledge and understanding about Forex industry
